Sioux Drums are double-sided and are made from whole log or pine frames. Historically, Native Americans used natural dyes and colorings gathered from Mother Earth to apply designs to their drumheads. Today, local artisans commonly use acrylics, oil or natural earth pigment to apply their designs.
